Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing gloves, engage in a contest of strength, agility, and strategy by throwing punches at each other within a defined area, usually a square ring. The objective is to score points by landing punches on the opponent or to achieve a knockout, which ends the match. Boxing has a rich history and is governed by a set of rules known as the “Queensberry Rules,” which outline the conduct of the bout, including the use of gloves, rounds, and scoring. It is recognized as both a competitive sport and a form of self-defense, with various weight classes allowing fighters of similar size to compete against each other. Boxing emphasizes physical conditioning, technique, and mental discipline.
